The UAC's mission is easily summarized by 5E's. Our mission is to Effectively Engage, Equip, and Encourage underrepresented communities to Explore STEAM related professions.
We aim to increase the recruitment, retention, exposure and overall success of underrepresented communities in these professions. We invite you to join us in our journey in doing so by creating the future generation of artists & designers using art, education, and self-expression to change the built environment.
THE HIP HOP ARCHITECTURE CAMP
The Hip Hop Architecture Camp™ is the creation of Michael Ford and is a registered trademark of BrandNu Design. The camp is based on Ford's years of research on the intersection of Hip Hop Culture and the built enviornment. The Urban Arts Collective and The Universal Hip Hop Museum are strategic sponsors of The Hip Hop Architecture Camp™, assisting with organizing and executing the one week intensive camp which uses Hip Hop culture as a catalyst to introduce K-12 youth to Architecture and Urban Planning. Nationally, The Hip Hop Architecture Camp is funded by Autodesk.
